An environmentally friendly cleaning equipment manufacturer, PT Klinko Karya Imaji Tbk (KLIN) posted revenue of Rp 3.06 billion in the first semester of 2022. The realization increased by 215% compared to revenue in the same period last year, which was Rp 1.42 billion. Based on KLIN's financial reports, KLIN's net profit for the year during the first half of 2022 skyrocketed to Rp 157.58 million. This figure is almost 5 times higher than the current year's net profit in the same period last year, which was recorded at Rp 33.32 million.
As a result, the accumulated retained earnings of the company, which is located in Gresik, East Java, reached Rp. 640.6 million until the end of June 2022. This figure far exceeded the total retained earnings as of December 2021, which was Rp. 491.8 million. This fantastic value was achieved by KLIN in just 6 months.
One of the reasons for this is the increase in domestic market demand and export movements that have re-emerged after the pandemic began to slow down in a number of export destination countries.
KLIN's main income in 2022 comes from cleaning equipment products which are quite supported by the export market. In August 2022, KLIN sent one container unit to the United States, where this collaboration will continue until the end of 2022.
“We will again ship 4-5 containers to the United States in stages. KLIN's export sales performance in January-June 2022, was recorded at Rp. 240.3 million, a three-fold increase compared to last year's Rp. 82.9 million," said KLIN President Director Anggun Supanji Tuesday (13/9).
The export market targets include 7 countries in Southeast Asia, North America, South America, Europe, and Africa. This revenue growth was mainly supported by domestic sales to several distributor partners for variants of floor mats, mops, lobby dusters, and 16 other variations.
Since officially operating in 2017, KLIN is committed to creating products in the form of environmentally friendly cleaning tools that can be used for household needs, to companies. It is noted that almost 80% of KLIN's raw materials come from recycled yarn which is processed from leftover patchwork or textile waste.
Anggun said that KLIN will soon inaugurate a new factory in October 2022, in accordance with the company's plan during the Initial Public Offering (IPO). The addition of this factory will contribute to an increase in sales of Rp 8.3 billion in 2022. Of this amount, KLIN projects that the contribution from export activities will increase by up to 25%.
“KLIN products have a high advantage in the domestic and international markets, because these cleaning tools are basically products that are used daily with high intensity of use, so durability and quality are consumer priorities. We also carry the 3R principle or Reuse, Reduce, Recycle in operational activities in order to create a business that has a positive impact on the environment or the green environment," he said.
After officially becoming a public company, this issuer has sold 230 million shares or 17.59% of the issued capital. After the IPO, KLIN began to carry out several company plans such as building factories, head offices, raw material warehouses, and operational support facilities.
“In the future, KLIN's business development in domestic and international markets will focus on implementing distribution strategies. One of them is by strengthening cooperation with modern channels, B2B partners, and e-commerce," concluded Anggun.
