The 2002 Cotton Day event was held at The Ritz Carlton Ballrooms 2 and 3, Mega Kuningan, South Jakarta on Wednesday (12/10/2022). Unlike the previous year where Cotton Day was held online, Cotton 2022 is held offline, this allows business people in the textile industry to meet in person and showcase their industrial products. Cotton Council International (CCI) Indonesia, a non-profit trade association that promotes United States (US) cotton fiber and manufactured cotton products worldwide under the brand Cotton USA, held its sixth annual Cotton Day in Jakarta.

Themed “Your Partner for Prosperity”, the event included seminars and fashion shows to celebrate US cotton and provide a forum for all industry players to network and drive the transformation of the textile industry in Indonesia.

Dr. Anh Dung (Andy) Do, CCI's representative in Indonesia, explained, “CCI has always been committed to providing support for businesses in the textile industry by presenting textile products that prioritize quality, sustainability and transparency.

At Cotton Day 2022, CCI wants to provide information that can help our partners run a sustainable business while building a direct network. This event is part of CCI's commitment to collaborate with industry players and experts to advance the country's textile industry through the use of US cotton."

The Cotton 2022 event was also attended by Dr. Anh Dung (Andy) Do as CCI representative in Indonesia; Michael F. Kleine as Deputy Chief of Mission, U.S. Embassy of Jakarta; Razvan Oancea as Senior Director, Asia, Cotton Council International; John King as Senior Vice President, Olam Agri Americas (ACSA); Lorena Monteiro as Head of Merchandising, Cargill (ACSA); Bruce Atherley as Executive Director of CCI and many other industry experts.

Through a series of seminars, experts from various parts of the world will conduct in-depth discussions regarding the textile industry at home and abroad.

The Cotton 2022 event was also enlivened by a fashion show session from 12 Cotton partners in Indonesia (Cotton USA License Holders and USCTP Members) and Indonesian Fashion Brands/Designers.

The 12 participating partners include PT Bateeq Retailindo Utama, PT Dan Liris, PT Sri Rejeki Isman Tbk, PT Primayudha Mandirijaya, PT Sinar Pantja Djaja, PT Sari Warna Asli Textile Industry, PT Bitratex Industries, PT Lucky Print and PT Benang Citra Indonesia, PT Apac Inti Corpora, PT Argo Manunggal Triasta & PT Grand Textile Industry, PT Bandung Djaja Textile and PT Hakatex.
