Minister of Trade (Minister of Trade) Zulkifli Hasan revealed that the 2023 Jakarta Muslim Fashion Week (JMFW) at the 37th Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) succeeded in recording transactions worth USD 13.2 million or Rp. 206.6 billion (exchange rate of Rp. 15,537/USD). JMFW is a fashion show event held by the Ministry of Trade in collaboration with the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN). JMFW 2023 has featured 144 designers/brands with over 1000 clothing collections. "The achievement achieved at JMFW 2023 of USD 13.2 million or around Rp. 206.6 billion is a form of international buyer confidence in the superiority of Indonesian Muslim fashion products," said Zulkifli Hasan in a statement quoted Mingngu (23/10) .
"I am optimistic that there will be more cooperation and transactions carried out by Muslim fashion business actors with buyers. For that, I appreciate the cooperation and high commitment of Mr and Mrs for the success of JMFW," he added.
This JMFW demonstrates fashion by Indonesian designers involving 26 young designers from 10 educational units, the Muslim fashion product exhibition presents 93 well-known local brands, 23 Indonesian textile companies that are ready to become suppliers of raw materials for Indonesian fashion brands.
In addition, at the closing of the JMFW, an MoU was signed between Malaysian buyers and 14 Indonesian business actors who were also assisted by Bank Indonesia's IKRA.
At this year's event, JMFW collaborated with Uniqlo as a sponsoring partner; Wardah and Mustika Ratu as official make-up; and BCA Syariah as a banking partner. In addition, this event was sponsored by Asia Pacific Rayon (APR), Sinarmas Land, Daliatex, Gistex and UBS, Nestle, and YOUC1000.
