The mushrooming of thrifting shops or imported used clothes in Malang City is a threat. Especially for textile clothing store owners with their own work. Even so, stretching textile clothing stores are still in demand. One of them was experienced by Andreas, the owner of the Borobudur Textile Shop. He said, compared to the previous year, cloth sales in his shop actually increased by around 30 percent. Meanwhile, the number of customers per day is not certain but always exceeds 20 buyers. "The type of fabric that is most sought after is the type of cotton, rayon and batik," he said.

The same thing was also expressed by Rocki Punjabi, Shop Owner In Moda Textile & Tailor. He said sales are holding up. Namely, the number of buyers is not much different from the previous days. That's because he often has a lot of discounts. The majority of buyers are individuals and wholesalers for uniforms. "About 10 buyers per day, the fabrics that are in great demand are usually plain fabrics and tiles," he explained.

In addition, Nanik Widyanti, a cotton cloth buyer, admitted that he prefers to buy cloth rather than buying second-hand clothes. One of the reasons is that it is more durable and not marketable. "Even if you do the math, it's cheaper to buy second-hand, but I'm more satisfied if I buy the cloth myself," he explained.

She also likes to buy fabrics because she doesn't want her clothes to be the same as other people's, so she chooses to have her clothes sewn. In addition, she is worried about buying Trift clothes because they are not guaranteed to be clean.
