The Association of Indonesian Economists or ISEI Jakarta supports the export-oriented textile industry. "The textile industry has so far proven to have an important role in the Indonesian economy," said ISEI Jakarta Chairman Inarno Djajadi, Tuesday, March 7, 2023. Furthermore, Inarno conveyed that ISEI would continue to contribute ideas for all stakeholders, especially for the development of the business world. He continued, ISEI members who come from elements of academia, business, and government are quite capable forces in contributing ideas in the economic field.

"In the midst of the current challenging global and domestic economic situation, close synergy between all stakeholders including the government, the business world, and the community including ISEI is also an important thing that needs to be implemented on an ongoing basis," said Inarno.

also conveyed the importance of the business world supporting the implementation of an independent campus by opening opportunities for students to carry out field work practices in various industries.

"This will be a very good synergy between the business world and the world of education, in preparing the country's human resources to face increasingly fierce competition in the future," he said.

Meanwhile, President Director of PT Sritex Iwan Setiawan Luk Minta explained that the textile industry in Indonesia has a large foreign exchange potential for the country.

"Especially in supporting the increase in Indonesia's non-oil and gas exports," said Iwan when receiving a visit from ISEI Jakarta, Monday, March 6, 2023.

Iwan explained, ISEI's support was needed in providing input regarding the development and challenges faced by the business world, especially the Indonesian textile industry.

During ISEI Jakarta's visit to PT Sritex in Sukoharjo, Central Java, around 60 ISEI management and members, including from Jakarta, Surabaya, Yogyakarta and Solo, attended.
