The general chairman of the Indonesian Textile Association (API), Jemmy Kartiwa Sastraatmaja, said that domestic market certainty is a hope for the textile industry which is facing a decline in exports. It is hoped that the government can protect local industries against the invasion of imported Chinese products.

In addition, high interest rates have created even greater pressure on the industry, so that business actors have chosen to postpone their current business expansion.
