The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) of the Republic of Indonesia has held an Natural Color Sasirangan Wastra Craft Incubation activity, taking place at Mess L, Banjarbaru City, from 5 to 8 August 2023. This Wastra Craft Incubation activity, the 19 participants, will practice coloring techniques on sasirangan cloth using natural dyes that have never been tried, such as using durian skin and onion skin. This incubation was held to encourage the creation of Sasirangan Sasirangan Crafts with Natural Colors as a superior creative product to become a new trend in South Kalimantan.

Not only that, this activity also aims to improve the quality and skills of the craftsmen.

The Chairperson of the Dekranasda City of Banjarbaru, Vivi Mar'I Zubedi in this case said that he really appreciated this activity being able to be carried out in the City of Banjarbaru.

"We hope that all craftsmen in South Kalimantan Province, especially Banjarbaru City, will receive an upgrade of knowledge that can be applied," he said.

Apart from that, Vivi also wants the results of the sasirangan coloring product with natural colors to get new insights so that it can be marketed widely.

"God willing, this sasirangan coloring technique with natural colors will be known nationally and globally," he said.

The Natural Color Sasirangan Wastra Craft Incubation Activity presented speakers from the Bandung Polytechnic School of Textile Technology (STTT) and Jakarta State University.
