The Denpasar City Regional National Crafts Council (Dekranasda) in collaboration with the Department of Industry and Trade (Disperindag) held training for SMEs using the "Textile Manipulation" method in the Hasta Mandala Room, ISI Denpasar Campus, Tuesday (29/8). This training aims to support the development of IKM Denpasar. This training was attended by the Vice Chairperson of Dekranasda Denpasar, Ny. Ayu Kristi Arya Wibawa. Vice Chairman of Dekranasda Denpasar, Mrs. Ayu Kristi Arya Wibawa on this occasion said that the training for IKM actors using the "Textile Manipulation" method was aimed at increasing knowledge of IKM in Denpasar City. So that in the future it will be able to continue to grow and be competitive both nationally and internationally.

"Through this training, I hope that the training participants can gain knowledge from the training they have attended, so that they can increase their knowledge of both models and innovations regarding sewing clothes, so that they can open up new opportunities in utilizing textile products into products of high economic value and accepted by the market," said Ayu Kristi Arya Wibawa.

Ayu Kristi said, manipulation textile or often called monumental textile, abbreviated as Teksmo, is a textile processing method by changing the texture and surface of batik cloth in two dimensions or three dimensions.

This method can be done by tearing, burning, hitting and damaging and can use used materials or utilize existing waste.

Chair of the Textile Manipulation Clothing Industry Training Committee, Tjokorda Istri Agung Diah Kencana Wati, said that this training will take place from 25-29 August 2023 involving resource persons from ISI Denpasar, namely Ni Kadek Yuni Diantari and Ni Putu Darmara Pradnya Paramita.
