Textile Manipulation or Textile Monumental Training targets small and medium industry (IKM) players in Denpasar City. The training held by the Denpasar City Regional National Crafts Council (Dekransda) in collaboration with the Department of Industry and Trade (Disperindag) provides new insights and opportunities for SMEs. Deputy Chairperson of Dekranasda Denpasar Mrs. Ayu Kristi Arya Wibawa while attending the training which took place in the Hasta Mandala Room, ISI Campus, Tuesday (29/8), said that the training was aimed at increasing knowledge of SMEs in Denpasar City. IKM actors in the future are expected to continue to grow and be competitive both nationally and internationally.

"I hope that participants can gain knowledge from the training they have participated in so that they can increase their knowledge of both models and innovations about sewing clothes. "After that, it can open up new opportunities in utilizing textile products to become products of high economic value and be accepted by the market," explained Ayu Kristi Arya Wibawa.

He explained that monumental textiles or texto for short is a method of processing textiles by changing the texture and surface of the fabric in both two and three dimensions. This method can be done by tearing, burning, hitting and damaging and using used materials or utilizing existing waste.

Chair of the Tjokorda Textile Monumental Clothing Industry Training Committee, Istri Agung Diah Kencana Wati, said that the training took place from 25-29 August. The resource persons from ISI Denpasar were Ni Kadek Yuni Diantari and Ni Putu Darmara Pradnya Paramita. As many as 20 participants who were involved came from IKM spread across Denpasar City.
