The government will provide convenience for the textile industry which is experiencing difficulties and has to terminate employment relations (PHK). The incentives given are related to the ease of selling goods domestically. This was revealed by Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto after an internal meeting with a number of ministers at the Presidential Palace, Friday (6/10/2023), discussing tightening the flow of imported goods, together with President Joko Widodo.

"Then, related to the policy through facilities provided, the president encouraged the textile industry which experienced layoffs, to give them additional convenience to sell domestically," said Airlangga.

Facilitation of domestic sales will be given to textile authorities who sell 50% of their goods that are export-oriented. So when export sales are below 50%, a letter of recommendation will be given from the Ministry of Industry.

Later, Airlangga explained that the convenience provided this morning to the textile industry would be followed up by the Financial System Stability Committee (KSSK) and banking. Where credit restructuring will be provided so that they can compete domestically.

"It will be followed up with policies for restructuring through KSSK, through banking so that the textile industry can compete, reduce or avoid layoffs," said Airlangga.
