Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasmita asked the newly appointed officials to be able to work faster, so that the programs that have been prepared can be implemented optimally.

"We must be one step faster, and always be responsive in our efforts to push for the achievement of targets," said the Minister of Industry when inaugurating nine Primary High Officials (Echelon II) in the Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) yesterday.

In addition, he emphasized, new officials must also build solid cooperation or teamwork in order to succeed the targets and work programs that have been set.

One of them is the successful achievement of the 35 percent import substitution program by 2022.

Through this program, several main steps are being taken, including reducing the value of imports by substituting imported raw materials and inputs to be produced domestically.

"The Ministry of Industry has also issued various policies that encourage increased utilization of the industrial sector," said Minister of Industry Agus.

He explained in more detail, there are seven programs that are being implemented to accelerate the import substitution program and encourage the acceleration of industrial growth in 2021, including the Improvement of Domestic Production Use (P3DN) program, gas price policy, mineral downstream program, industrial estate development, development programs. digital capability center, industrial vocational development program, Small and Medium Industry (IKM) development program, and the Proudly Made Indonesia (BBI) program.

Not only that, the Minister of Industry also advised new officials to be able to optimize budget absorption.

He also targets that the Ministry of Industry can contribute highly to encourage government spending.

Furthermore, Agus also instructed officials within the Ministry of Industry to contribute to the optimization of the Domestic Content Level (TKDN) in each national industrial product, in order to support productivity for the component-making sector.

This step is in line with the Ministry of Industry's policy to increase the TKDN value to 50% by 2024 as stated in the National Medium Term Development Plan (RPJMN) 2020-2024.

"I hope that all Ministry of Industry officials have the mindset to support TKDN," he continued.

The Minister of Industry also asked the inaugurated officials to continue to encourage the acceleration of the application of industrial technology 4.0.

Where previously, the Government had set a road map for Making Indonesia 4.0 with the main goal of making Indonesia the 10 largest economies in the world by 2030.

In fact, there are three main aspirations in it, namely 10% contribution of net exports to Gross Domestic Product, two times the increase in productivity against costs, and 2% of research and development spending to Gross Domestic Product.

"For that, with regard to industry 4.0, the Ministry of Industry must follow technological developments, it must be one step faster," said the Minister of Industry.

In addition, he also emphasized that he should always uphold the integrity pact in each work area, so as to be able to maintain the Unqualified Opinion (WTP) from the Republic of Indonesia Supreme Audit Agency.

The Ministry of Industry to date has received WTP opinion twelve times in a row since 2008.

The award was obtained for professional, accountable and transparent assessment in the management of state finances.

It should be noted that the nine officials who were inaugurated were Nila Kumalasari as Head of the Center for Increasing the Use of Domestic Products; Mohammad Ari Kurnia Taufik as Secretary of the Directorate General of Agro Industry, Riefky Yuswandi as Director of Small and Medium Industries (IKM) for Food, Furniture and Building Materials at the Directorate General of Small and Medium-sized Industry (IKMA) of the Ministry of Industry, and Wulan Sri Aprilianti Permatasari as Inspector I at the Inspectorate General Ministry of Industry.

Then, Abdulah as Inspector III at the Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Industry, Heru Kustanto as Head of the Center for Optimization of the Utilization of Industrial Technology and Industrial Services Policy at the Agency for Standardization and Industrial Services Policy (BSKJI); Cahyadi as Head of the Center for Textile at the Ministry of Industry, Emmy Suryandari as Head of the Center for Industrial Pollution Prevention Technology at the Ministry of Industry, and Setia Diarta as Head of the Center for Industrial Plantation Products at the Ministry of Industry.
