The Klewer Market area, Souvenir Market, and the North Square of the Solo Palace still have hundreds of textile suppliers from the Covid-19 risk red zone, Thursday (17/6/2021).

The suppliers from the Pantura area usually come on Mondays and Thursdays every week. This was revealed in a sudden inspection (sidak) held by the Solo Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP).

In addition to the inspection, they conveyed the latest SE of the Mayor of Solo which stated their prohibition on selling in the area. They can only supply merchandise to the Klewer Market and Souvenir Market traders.

"This week we are still developing the SE, the new action will be carried out on Monday next week. The supply of textiles at the Klewer Market is indeed from the Covid-19 red zone regional trader. Such as Pekalongan, Jepara, Kudus, and surrounding areas. If it's totally banned, it can't be done," said Solo City Satpol PP Head, Arif Darmawan.

Furthermore, Arif said that the textile supplier always came to Solo on Mondays and Thursdays. While on other days unofficial textile traders are used to hold stalls using cars in the area.

It is the activity of the mobile traders that market traders often complain about. "In the future, we ask the merchant to show a negative antigen swab test result. If not, we have coordinated with the Solo City Health Office [DKK] for on-the-spot or sudden swabs," he explained.

Incidental Antigen Swab Test

The Head of the Trade Service (Disdag) of Solo City, Heru Sunardi, said that a number of rules were socialized, including that car dealers around the North Square will be tested for incidental antigen swabs.

Textile suppliers and car traders in Solo who are positive for Covid-19 will be immediately taken to the Donohudan Hajj Dormitory to undergo a centralized quarantine.

Then, related to the prohibition of car dealers selling around the North Square, the Trade Office held routine raids in coordination with the Satpol PP. "We will report the results to the Regional Secretary, whether there will be more decisive action regarding their whereabouts," he explained.

The trader is only allowed to unload and ship orders to traders within the market. After that, they are not allowed to open stalls that invite buyers.

"Regarding the conditions for negative antigen swab test results, we have not yet made a decision. A temporary measure, continuous raids," said Heru.
