The fate of PPKM Level 4 is planned to be announced today. Textile traders in Pasar Baru, Central Jakarta (Jakpus), asked the government not to extend the PPKM.
"If it's extended... ouch. What are we eating? We're sent home again. The complicated thing is, it's okay to close the shop. We're online. So if there's a lot of online time, we are called (to send goods), that's the transportation (blockage) ) no need for letters, it's complicated to make," said Ema.
Ema said she had been laid off for a month due to PPKM because the shop where she worked was closed. He admitted that he was stressed that his income was being cut, even though there were many needs that had to be paid for, such as rent and children's online school fees.
Furthermore, Ema said officials did not know what it was like to be laid off without being paid a salary. Ema hopes that PPKM will no longer be extended.
"Yes, my hope is not extended. I feel sorry for the fate of the little people. If the official works in the office is good, he is laid off, the salary is still there. Are we? Where are the coolies like this. What's more, my friend is stressed, he hasn't paid for his boarding house. shops like this too," he said.
Based on Ema's statement, the shophouses in Pasar Baru must close at 15.00 WIB. The reason is that there is a Satpol PP who goes around secretly looking for shop houses that are still stubborn.
Once, said Ema, there was a textile shop in Pasar Baru which was open until 18.00 WIB. The shop owner was also fined Rp. 50 million.
"The story of the fine is spreading everywhere. Finally, we have complied, sorry for the boss and the turnover is gone. It's even more sad if you have to be fined," said Ema.
Ema, who is a resident of Bogor, West Java, also said that she had never received social assistance. Ema only occasionally gets help from her brother.
Meanwhile, Tono (not his real name), who is also a textile trader in Pasar Baru, complained about the lack of visitors. Tono said that the community is also in trouble, so the need for clothing is not really needed.
"Since PPKM, I don't think it's important to buy clothes like that. At least he does certain events like weddings, looks for materials for the shroud, that's important. If clothes don't matter, just think about the stomach, it's already like this," said Tono.
Tono hopes that the PPKM will not be extended. During PPKM, Tono claimed to have received a salary cut.
"No, I'm not paid this. I've been working here for 10 years, we only have three employees. Many leave," he added.
As is known, the implementation of level 4 community activity restrictions (PPKM) allows the market to operate. Markets are allowed to open with visitors at 50 percent of capacity and time limits and comply with health protocols.
PPKM Level 4 will end today. The government will soon announce whether to extend PPKM Level 4 or not.
"Yes, that's the plan (the fate of PPKM level 4 will be announced tomorrow)," said spokesman for the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Jodi Mahardi.
