Riau Governor Syamsuar said there was new potential being developed, beyond maintaining commodity prices, mobilizing MSME assistance, and moving tourist villages.

"Riau Province has an Industrial Forest Plantation (HTI) wood industry which is currently developing the textile industry because in Riau a Rayon factory has been built which is made of wood, not cotton," he said.

Regarding Riau, which is developing a new textile industry, the Governor of Riau also invites related companies to work together so that these textiles can be exported properly and smoothly.

We are also developing businesses related to tailors, as well as embroidery businesses that we are developing in order to improve the economy of our community in the future.

The Governor of Riau said he wanted to collaborate with the district government to develop small micro-enterprises in the district/city.

In addition, the Governor of Riau also said that last week his party had carried out tree donation activities in the context of a green Riau.

"This tree donation is in line with our development, namely the development of green Riau, we know that Riau is always categorized as not environmentally friendly, there are always forest and land fires as well as peat areas that are easily burned," he said.

Therefore, his party wants to raise the image of Riau Province again, especially with the impact that is so large, it does not want this bad image to be prolonged, for that reason it is carrying out Riu Hijau activities.

This effort is a step from the Riau Provincial Government to make a breakthrough in order to minimize forest fires and to preserve the environment in the Riau area.

So it is hoped that with this green Riau activity, a green environment will be created which is a shared dream.

"Hopefully there will be no forest fires as well to avoid a bad image. We want to restore a friendly and healthy environment that is the dream of the people of Riau," he said.
