The area of ​​Sragen Regency is getting more and more attention from investors. One of them is President Jokowi's son Kaesang Pangarep who plans to build a garment factory in the Bumi Aji Village area, Gondang District. Kaesang is reported to have visited the location some time ago.

"It's been some time since it came. Mas Kaesang came to the office himself, and then we accompanied him to conduct a site survey as well,” said Head of the One Stop Investment Licensing Service (DPMPTSP) Sragen Tugiyono, yesterday (1/9).

Tugiyono added that the targeted investment is the garment industry. However, the issue of industrial capacity and investment has not yet been conveyed. However, since the arrival some time ago, until now there has been no news about the continuation of the investment discourse.

“I used to say it was for the garment industry. At that time Mas Kaesang came alone. So far, no further action has been taken,” he said.

Tugiyono has not dared to confirm whether the targeted investment is the garment industry or other business fields.

"But it's not yet confirmed whether it's a garment or another business. In principle, we are open to all investments, because it will also improve the Sragen economy,” he said.

He hopes that there will be a follow-up to the investment exploration. The positive impact is that with the large number of incoming investments, the Sragen economy will automatically increase and job opportunities will be wide open.

“At that time, he promised to come again to finalize the plan. We are just waiting to see if it will happen or not,” said Tugiyono.

As is known, the district government has also introduced the Connectionmacan, Sidoharjo and Sumberlawang industrial areas. So far, there is already a furniture industrial area in Kalijambe.
