The Covid-19 pandemic hits textile and garment industry in Bandung Regency. Not a few of these companies collapsed because their products did not sell well in the market due to the quiet market.

"Many of the companies that choose to make efficiency, starting from the workforce and reducing production to working hours for their workers. Not a few of the entrepreneurs who stop their company operations because they are unable to bear the burden of operating costs that are quite large, because they are not comparable to the budget. or incoming income," said Majalaya Textile Observer, Bandung Regency, Yus Sugianto.

After almost 1.5 years of the Covid-19 pandemic, Yus Sugianto added, a number of textile companies are now slowly starting to rise.

Because the government provides a policy for entrepreneurs to operate their companies, even though it is 50 percent of the company's capacity.

In addition, the marketing of goods is starting to be able to enter and exit vehicles to various regions, although previously there were restrictions on entering and exiting vehicles.

In addition, shops as a textile product market were closed because it was part of the government's effort to break the chain of the spread of the corona virus in the center of the crowd.

"Currently, I have noticed that the Majalaya textile is only about to rise by 75 percent, the good development is happening slowly," said Yus Sugianto.

He hopes that seeing such good development conditions, all parties can support each other.

"At least we can maintain conducive conditions within the company, so that economic development in the textile sector can continue as usual," he said.

He also admitted that he was grateful that the condition of textiles in Majalaya did not cause many to go bankrupt, even though there were some companies that temporarily suspended their business.

"If many textile industries are closed or out of business, I feel sorry for the working community because they are unemployed," he said.

According to him, the sluggish textile companies will also have an impact on the economy in various sectors. Including the textile market was affected.

"The market, who wants to buy. If the circulation of money does not work," he said.

Yus also hopes for a number of parties to exercise restraint and do not interfere with companies that want to rise up after being affected by the pandemic.

"Currently, the textile industry is starting to rise, although the increase is gradual," he added

For many people to know, he explained, Majalaya's textiles were the forerunner of textiles in Indonesia.

"Therefore, quite a large amount of tax goes into the state treasury, so that textile business actors take part in regional and national development. We hope that all parties at this time understand each other," he concluded.
