In recent times, the issue of the garment, textile and sustainable fashion industry has been in the spotlight. Many manufacturers in the fashion industry are starting to switch to using more sustainable materials.

"Nowadays, more and more large global companies are getting interested in the so-called Sustainable Development Goals (TPB) and how they can contribute," said Indonesian Cotton Council International (CCI) Representative in Indonesia, Dr. Anh Dung (Andy) Do.

Therefore, said Andy, his party is here to provide support for the textile and fashion industry in carrying out industrial transformation by adapting consumer demands related to textile products that prioritize sustainability, transparency and traceability.

“We want to provide information that can help our partners run a sustainable business, one of which is through US cotton industry initiatives such as the U.S. Cotton Trust Protocol,” added Andy Do.

He continued that this step is clear evidence of CCI's commitment to cooperate and collaborate with industry players and experts to advance the country's textile industry.

U.S. The Cotton Trust Protocol® is a US cotton industry program that sets new standards for sustainably grown cotton. The program brings quantifiable and verifiable goals and measures for sustainable cotton production and drives improvements in key sustainability metrics.

By joining the program, members can prove, measure and verify that they are buying sustainably produced and quality fiber, and that the supply chain from the field to the mill is free from environmental and social risks.

This has been proven through Field to Market, measured with the Fieldprint Calculator, and verified with Control Union Certifications equipped with the best technology.
