One of the MSMEs assisted by the Bank Indonesia Representative Office of West Java Province (Jabar) which is a member of the Bank Indonesia Leading Entrepreneurs (WUBI), namely Sagarayasa has succeeded in processing textile waste into woven fabrics that have a high selling value.

"We are actually just established because we are alumni of WUBI in 2021. So Sagarayasa is a combination of four fashion brands," said one of the initiators of Sagarayasa Achi Astri at the West Java 2021 Showcasing Creative Works (KKI) with the theme "Green". Growth Economy; My Sustainable Alam, My Sustainable Business” in Bandung, Thursday.

Sagarayasa, which was established on June 12, 2021, is one of the MSME collaborations that innovate to implement the "Green Economy" concept.

"So we, consisting of 4 fashion brands, have the same vision and mission, which is to carry out the spirit of sustainable fashion. Because as we know, the fashion industry is the number two pollutant contributor in the world," he said.

On the basis of love for the environment and the spirit of sustainable fashion, said Achi, he and three other colleagues founded the Sagarayasa brand by creating environmentally friendly fashion products.

"So we process textile waste which is processed into yarn, yarn is spun into fabric that is woven and designed into 'ready to wear' clothes," he said.

The clothes from environmentally friendly woven fabrics are created into a number of clothes that have economic value.

"Our clothes can be ordered according to consumer orders. For the price, the lowest is Rp. 300 thousand to the most expensive Rp. 4.5 million," he said.

Sagarayasa's own fashion products have been shown at an exhibition event in Sydney Australia.

In addition, continued Achi, the presence of Sagarayasa was also felt by local residents.

"We also empower housewives who have no work due to the impact of the pandemic. We also empower housewives in Kampung Sayang, in Banjaran, Bandung Regency," he said.
