The Covid-19 pandemic has hit many sectors in the economy, due to restrictions on mobility that disrupt market transactions. Not even a few companies eventually went out of business because they could not withstand the impact of the pandemic.

One of the economic sectors affected is the textile business. Previously, it was a promising business, especially in West Java, which absorbed a lot of workers.

The owner of Mjestex, Jessica admits that the textile business that was initiated since 2016 has experienced a significant decrease in orders, even to the point of almost nothing since the start of the pandemic in the country.

"Since the last few months, orders have started to come in again, last year there were almost none," he said.

However, currently the business world is not yet fully stable. However, there is hope to improve the business that almost went out of business due to the pandemic.

He admitted that by starting his business from scratch, he felt the bitter sweetness of the business he was involved in. So that they continue to innovate and be creative in increasing sales, even in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.

"The point is, you have to be creative and have intuition to see the needs of the market, which incidentally is sluggish due to this pandemic," he said.

Jessica said that her party did not lay off 13 of its employees. Because of the view that in the midst of a pandemic, there are many things that can be done to keep the company alive, without sacrificing employees.

"With confidence and mentality, speculation can be measured. The risks can be mapped in detail so that losses that may arise can be minimized from the start," he said.

With these various views, his party managed to get through critical times due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Now, his business has started running and orders from regional businesses are coming back.

"It's starting to move again, hopefully in the future it will get better and conditions will return to normal," he added.
