Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Uno inaugurated the Jakarta Fashion Hub (JFH) or a collaborative space that brings together fashion and creativity on Saturday (4/12/2021). Since its presence in the middle of last year, JFH is expected to become a platform for creative activists in mobilizing industrial potential, especially in the fields of fashion, textiles and the sustainable creative economy. In his remarks, Sandiaga appreciated the presence of the Jakarta Fashion Hub, which can bridge the passions of domestic creative economy (Ekraf) activists to channel talent as well as encourage business potential in the fashion sector.

"Through the Jakarta Fashion Hub, it is hoped that the creation of national fashion works can be better, have a special place in the hearts of the people and Indonesian works are more ready to compete globally," said Minister Sandi in his statement, (5/12/2021).

"This inauguration is also expected to continue to provide innovation, be able to adapt and strengthen collaboration in the fashion ecosystem in Indonesia," he continued.

Visitors who take advantage of the Jakarta Fashion Hub, continued Sandiaga, can help the government's efforts to encourage increased competitiveness of the creative economy.

Not only that, but also creating product collaborations that are ready to compete in national and international markets as well as supporting Indonesia's economic recovery due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

"The opportunity for the creative and fashion economy market is still very open in Indonesia. The government continues to try to provide the best raw materials for the fashion industry, develop programs that support Indonesia as a modest center for world fashion," he concluded.
