The textile industry in Central Java has successfully penetrated foreign markets. This potential as well as achievement cannot be underestimated. "Our exports in May (last) had a surplus and one of them was textiles. Central Java's textile exports were number one, but mostly apparel," said the Head of the Central Java Industry and Trade Agency, Muhammad Arif Sambodo, while accompanying the Deputy Governor of Central Java. , Taj Yasin Maimoen received a working visit from the Secretariat General Team of the National Defense Council (Setjen Wantannas), in Semarang City, Central Java, yesterday.

Arif Sambodo added, although Central Java textile products are the prima donna for exports, several obstacles are still being faced, such as limited raw materials for cotton and the production of certain types of fabrics, as well as environmental issues.

He emphasized that the sustainability of the textile industry must be encouraged because it is a labor-intensive industry that has so far been able to survive in the midst of the challenges of the industrial revolution era 4.0. "This needs to be maintained because even though it is dealing with the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, it still survives," he said.

Deputy Governor of Central Java, Taj Yasin Maimoen said the Central Java Provincial Government also continues to develop industrial areas to encourage economic growth. This effort is in line with the central government's optimism that the Central Java Provincial Government is able to spur economic growth in the range of seven percent.

Not only boosting economic growth through the development of the industrial sector, the son of the charismatic cleric KH Maimoen Zubair explained, the Central Java Provincial Government encourages companies to provide flats for their workers.
