Secretary General of the Indonesian Filament Yarn and Fiber Producers Association (APSyFI), Redma Gita Wirawasta explained that his party involved the community in collecting used bottles and IKM in producing flakes. "In some of our members this has been going on for the last 2 years. Next year, there will be a new investment to recycle this PET.

As a player in the textile industry, he stated that the prospect and strategy of the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG)-Based Industry in 2022 for the national yarn industry will still be optimistic.

For information, the ESG theme will become a trend and become the main topic throughout next year because regulations related to ESG will be implemented in 2022, including being one of the themes for the G20 Presidency of Indonesia. "This ESG has indeed become a demand trend from buyers in export destination countries, so it is very important for our textile industry to fulfill it," he said.

He continued, besides that, as the responsibility of the textile industry to protect the environment and actively involve the general public in environmental-based economic activities, it must play a role in the implementation of ESG. It also recycles large fabrics and clothes for artificial fibers.

"For the recycling of used fabrics and clothes, these are made from artificial fibers, both polyester, rayon and nylon," he concluded.
