Currently, the need and demand for textile products abroad is considered quite large. To meet the needs of foreign textiles, a textile industry development center is needed. Seeing this opportunity, PT Asia Pacific Fibers (APF) Kaliwungu plans to expand its development to increase its production. Not only that, PT APF also proposed to the government that the textile industry in Kendal be developed into a Textile Park. The President Director of PT APF, Ravi Shankar said, the successful country of the textile industry is the one that is able to integrate the textile area into a Textile Park.

For this reason, PT APF is proposing that the textile industry in Kendal be converted into a Textile Park. Because Kendal has great potential to develop into a Textile Park.

It is said that this textile park is a kind of cluster that is integrated with supporting companies.

Starting from yarn companies, fabric companies to garment companies, including nearby houses can also be involved in the textile process.

With this development, PT APF which currently has 2,000 employees, for future expansion will add about 300 employees.

If later it has developed into a Textile Park, the addition of employees will be even greater.

Meanwhile, Kendal Regent Dico M Ganinduto supports the company's expansion plan.

This is in accordance with the commitment to help the company to grow.

"Of course, we from the Kendal Regency Government will continue to support in accordance with our commitments, namely if there are companies that experience problems and need assistance, then we will support them, so that they can run quickly," said Regent Dico.

The Regent also hopes that this expansion will be able to absorb labor and help improve the economy of the people of Kendal, Central Java, and Indonesia in general.
