PT Trisula International Tbk (TRIS) stated that this year it will continue to focus on reaching its main markets, namely the USA, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Japan. Santoso Widjojo, President Director of TRIS said, the opportunities from these countries are quite large because of the large number of enthusiasts for TRIS products. For the largest sales contribution, TRIS's products are dominated by the Manufacturing operation segment with 62%, in which the segment includes textile sales by its subsidiaries and garments by TRIS.

"For garment products, the most dominant are jacket products as well as formal and casual pants, as well as functional wear," he said (12/4).

This year, TRIS targets to achieve 8% performance growth this year. As for the capex, his party has prepared funds of around Rp. 21.5 billion which is allocated for rejuvenating old machines and purchasing new machines to support production needs.

TRIS added that this year, his party does not have a plan to sell cloth shopping bags. He explained that currently, through our subsidiary, PT Trisula Textile Industries Tbk (BELL), it has made shopping bags from used or semi-finished fabrics in the form of reusable goodie bags for internal use.

"The existence of this reusable goodie bag can make us increasingly a sustainable company and continue to pay attention to aspects of our sustainability business so that in the future it is hoped that we can continue to strengthen our sustainability business. However, we are still using it internally, not for mass sale," he continued.

However, TRIS added that if it sees consumers' awareness recently getting higher regarding environmental concerns, such as the use of polybags to reduce the use of plastic, there are still many people who are reluctant to buy on the grounds that they are expensive. But now people are more aware of it so many people have started to use it.

For information, in 2021, TRIS achieved sales of Rp. 1 trillion or experienced a 3.8 percent correction from Rp. 1.14 trillion on an annual basis or year-on-year (yoy). TRIS recorded an operating profit of IDR 43.8 billion, up 30.5 percent YoY from IDR 33.5 billion. The company was also able to reverse the loss into profit attributable to the parent of IDR4.7 billion in 2021.

TRIS also saw an increase in each of its businesses in 2021, namely manufacturing increased 6.8 percent YoY, distribution increased 3.3 percent YoY, and retail increased 5.2 percent YoY.
