The textile industry is one of the sectors that is still having difficulty accessing liquidity or lending from banks for working capital. This happened because of the traumatic nature of the textile industry.

Chairman of the Association of Indonesian Textile Experts (IKATSI) Suharno Rusdi said that to overcome this problem requires fast communication between industry and banks.

"So there are several complaints from friends in the industry that we are in need of working capital to bring up the details that were cut off last year. But it seems that there is still traumatic traumatic experience in the banking sector for this industry. Therefore, I think it takes fast communication between industry and banking sector so that they know that the textile industry is already borrowed while on the other hand banking is objective, "he said.

Throughout 2020 the textile industry has experienced negative growth. Where the export performance contracted by 17%, then also the workforce in the textile industry sector decreased by 13%. However, at this time it is said that the textile industry has started to rise again.

"Utilization up to this day is recorded at 60-70%, it has started work, huh. And I am very happy because it means that my fellow employees have started to come in and get a salary and this will increase their purchasing power. Therefore, prepare working capital because a year ago their working capital was eroded, ”he explained.

So, he continued, this is a very emergency for the banking sector to help or assist the textile industry in order to quickly start growing.

"I want to convince my banking friends that the textile industry is a very promising industry," he said.

According to him, this working capital is very much needed by industry friends because in 2020, to be precise, when the Covid-19 pandemic their working capital was eroded.

"We know that even though they don't have contractions, they have to pay employees who are at home while there is no income, then electricity must also be paid, BPJS and all kinds of insurances must be paid," said Suharno.

Meanwhile, in this case the government must also help. It is hoped that the government can immediately bridge communication between bankers and the textile industry so that they can meet at one point.

"Because this requires cooperation between banking and industry so that our economy will immediately revive. I think the government has the task of bridging it so that soon there will be a landing in the working capital of friends in the textile industry, "he said.
