Deputy Minister of Manpower (Wamenaker), Afriansyah Noor, invites textile industry players to be actively involved in taking a role in updating competency standards and the quality of human resources (HR) in accordance with company needs. "We from the Ministry of Manpower welcome with open arms if the textile industry and entrepreneurs want to work together in improving the competence and quality of human resources needed by the industry and textile products," said Deputy Minister of Manpower Afriansyah Noor when speaking at the seminar "Education of Indonesian Textile Industry Players, The Importance of Choosing Machinery and Human Resources for the Best Results" at the Indo Intertex-Inatex 2022 Textile Industry and Products Exhibition at the Jakarta International Expo Kemayoran, Thursday (11/8/2022).

The Deputy Minister of Manpower explained that the Ministry of Manpower views the issue of increasing the competence of the workforce as a work agenda in encouraging the growth of priority industrial sectors, including textile industry and products. Increasing the competence of the workforce needs to continue to be carried out in facing the challenges of the Industrial Revolution 4.0.

The Industrial Revolution 4.0, he continued, also had an impact on the textile industry and products so that appropriate steps had to be taken to support the quality of human resources for textile workers to be ready to face this transformation.

The Deputy Minister added, as one of the labor-intensive industries, textile industry and products are potential industrial sectors.

"It is a motivation for all of us that the future of the textile industry and products will be better," he said.

The Vice Minister of Manpower invites textile entrepreneurs in Indonesia to jointly improve HR competencies through apprenticeship programs so that students in vocational training get an overview of the world of work so that they are able to adapt to the job market, especially the industrial sector and textile products.

"My hope is that through the exhibition of textile industries and products, entrepreneurs and textile factories in Indonesia can share the latest technology and knowledge about textile technology from the experts," said the Deputy Minister.
