PT PLN (Persero) West Java Development Main Unit (PLN UIP JBB) provided voltage for the 150 kV substation project for Indonesian High Voltage Consumer Toray Synthetics (ITS Summit).
This substation is located in Pasar Baru, Tangerang City which will support the textile raw material industry.
"Development is carried out to increase reliability and increase electricity supply for high voltage consumers, namely PT Indonesia Toray Synthetics," he explained
General Manager of PLN UIP JBB Ratnasari Sjamsuddin.
The construction of this project is based on the Power Purchase Agreement (SPJBTL) between PT PLN (Persero) and PT Indonesia Toray Synthetics on August 14, 2020.
The total power capacity that will be distributed is 45,380 kVA, from the existing power of 10,389 kVA with Premium Bronze special services.
Construction of this project began in October 2020, and was completed in a fairly short time.
"According to the contract agreement on October 27, 2020, the construction will be carried out for 1 year, but from the beginning of construction to operation we only need 7 months," added Ratnasari.
He added, for the sake of accelerating work, the acceleration of the procurement of Master Terminal Unit (MTU) materials from the Central PLN, and the use of PLN's Work in Implementation (PDP) materials were carried out.
PLN PDP materials from several locations, namely from Semarang ex GI Bantul 2, ex GI Balaraja and ex GI Gajah Tunggal.
The project consists of a 150 kV Substation and a 150 kV Incomer High Voltage Air Line. The ITS Summit 150 kV substation consists of 4 bays, namely 2 overhead lines conveying from the Tangerang Baru SUTT towards Cengkareng Baru, 1 coupler bay, and 1 consumer bay.
The construction of this substation was carried out on the basis of PT Indonesia Toray Synthetics' plan to deactivate the coal-fired power plant, which has been an internal generator for supplying electricity to PT Indonesia Toray Synthetics.
So that other reliable sources of electrical energy are needed to support the company's operations properly.
"With the completion of this project, hopefully it will further strengthen the reliability of the electricity system of PT Indonesia Toray Synthetics for the smooth running of the company's business," concluded Ratnasari.
