The first debut was the City Walk Fahion Show On The Street, which was organized by the Tegal City National Craft Council (Dekranas) together with the Tegal City Government (Pemkot) at the Tegal City City Walk on Jl. Ahmad Yani was considered successful and took place lively. It was proven that many fashion show activists in Tegal City took part in the event. It was recorded that 36 schools/universities sent 216 representatives, there were 25 participants from the general category who also enlivened the event which was held, Sunday (18/12/2022) afternoon until evening.

The Fashion Show carried the theme Amazing Tegal Batik & Goyor Fashion Show on The Street featuring 100 Tegal Batik Clothing Models and 116 Goyor Clothing Models. The participants used products made specifically for Batik and Goyor Weaving which were displayed in the form of clothing.

The total number of participants in the 2022 City Walk Fashion Show On The Street Event was attended by around 241 participants divided into two categories, namely the Group Category of 216 participants from universities/high schools/vocational schools throughout Tegal City, both public and private. While the General Category consisted of 25 participants featuring Ready To Wear Casual Batik/Weaving Nusantara. In addition, there were six fashion designers for Batik Tegal and Sarong Goyor who also enlivened the event.

The Chairperson of the Tegal City Dekranas Roro Kusnabila Erfa Dedy Yon in his report said that the 2022 City Walk Fashion Show On The Street which was driven by the Tegal City National Crafts Council (DEKRANAS) in collaboration with the Tegal City Regional Promotion and Exhibition Agency (BPPD), in addition to being an event Introducing fashion and textile products made by Tegal City IKM/UMKM, especially Tegal Batik and Goyor Weaving to the community, both the people of Tegal City and the surrounding area, such as residents of Tegal Regency and Brebes Regency as well as being one of the first cultural events held at City Walk Jl. . The implementation of the City Walk Fashion Show On The Street Event was one of the first agendas to be carried out at the local level with the aim of promoting handicraft products specifically for batik and goyor weaving which were displayed in the form of clothing at fashion shows so that they would be better known and accepted by the wider community, not only local people but also people from other areas.

More importantly, this is also an opportunity to express and explore the abilities of Tegal City residents, especially the younger generation, in the field of fashion, both as models and designers.

The Mayor advised all participants and those attending the event to always love the City of Tegal and proudly utilize local wisdom and resources to be introduced to the outside world.

"I want whatever we use, what we do, can carry the name and promote the City of Tegal in it," hoped Dedy Yon.

He also reminded the winners not to just be the champion of the cage who is easily proud and feels big in a small environment. That is, don't feel like you are the best, but our level is still limited to competing with others at the Tegal City level.

"Take advantage of capabilities, expand networks, and use technology to take part at the national and international levels. Introduce the City of Tegal to the world through products made by fathers/mothers/brothers," concluded Dedy Yon.
