In 2022, Cambodia exported $11.607 million worth of fabrics and $20.504 million worth of apparel. However, there has been a downward trend in textile imports from Indonesia in previous years. The two countries are competitors in the textile sector because they export a lot of textile products.

There is limited scope for bilateral textile trade between the two countries. However, Indonesia's imports of clothing and textiles are demand-based and limited in quantity.

Cambodian textile exports to Indonesia demonstrated impressive growth in 2022, reaching $11.607 million from $0.397 million in 2018. Cambodian apparel exports to Indonesia continued to increase in 2020 following the Covid-related disruptions. Exports increased from $16.144 million in 2021 to $20.504 million in 2022. It recovered after the 2020 slump when sales were recorded at $92.26 million versus $92.20 million in 2019. Cambodia exported $18.360 million worth of garments in 2018 In the first two months of this year, Cambodia exported $2.381 million worth of clothing. Cambodian apparel imports from Indonesia are expected to reach $1.840 million in 2022.
