The preparations for the presidential and legislative election contests are already halfway done. The excitement of the five-year democratic party that will be held in less than a year is already being felt. Television, social media, and conventional billboards have started displaying party flags and the presidential candidates they are carrying. One of those who will benefit from the momentum of the 2024 democratic party is the textile and textile product industry players. This year is the right time for political parties and their volunteers to shop for campaign props as complete as possible, in order to intensify the campaigns for legislative candidates, political parties, governor and deputy governor candidates, as well as presidential and vice presidential candidates so that they are more popular and known to the public. .

Requests for political party attributes at the Senen Jaya 1&2 Shopping Center, Senen - Central Jakarta, have started to increase in the last few weeks. Senen Jaya 1&2 Shopping Center Management Manager, Prismo Juni Prianto said, the implications ahead of the election year have already been seen in the political party attribute kiosks, although not all of them. Orders came from successful teams both in Jakarta and outside the city.

"Usually it's six months before the election, but activity has started. Slowly orders are starting to increase, especially flags, t-shirts and banners," he said in a written statement in Jakarta, Tuesday (13/6/2023).

Even though it only opened in February 2023, more than 400 party attribute and accessories traders occupy stalls on floors 1 and 2 of the Senen Jaya 1&2 Shopping Center. In this new building, traders feel more comfortable with adequate facilities, ample parking area, and the condition of the building is like a mall. For decades, campaign props traders here have become the main reference for political party campaign teams. It has been a long time since the merchants have depended on their fate at every political moment.

One of the party attribute traders at the Senen Jaya 1&2 Shopping Center, Chandra (52), said that every political season, many party aides and special teams from various regions and even outside the island contact him. Through the Bangkit Bersama store, Chandra provides various kinds of party campaign attributes such as flags, shirts, clothes, knick-knacks for name tags, scarves, pins, key chains and stickers.

"I have been selling specifically for parties for more than 30 years. During the Pilkada or Presidential election, it is definitely here (Senen Jaya Shopping Center 1&2) that people go to because it is the most complete, there are also many choices of traders so they can match prices. Most of those who order from me are from outside Jakarta such as Lampung, Medan, Makassar and even Maluku," Chandra said when met at Senen Jaya 1 & 2, Sunday (11/6/2023).

Another trader, Justina (34), admitted that currently there has been movement from the political team. He said most customers at his shop came from eastern Indonesia, such as NTB, NTT, Sulawesi, to Papua.

"There are only those who are asking questions. But orders have started coming in, like emblems and t-shirts. Yesterday the Hanura Party ordered a total of 10,000 pcs of t-shirts, but those were from seven successful teams," he concluded.

Various party attributes are sold in his shop, Jussam Advertising at the Senen Jaya 1&2 Shopping Center. Starting from t-shirts, shirts, flags, pins, hats, to stickers. T-shirts with photos of presidential candidates or party symbols are usually the most popular. The t-shirts are sold from 13,000 to 25,000 per pcs.

"If you take more than 1,000 pcs, the price is cheaper, while you have to buy at least 1 bale containing 10,000 pcs," said the woman from Wonogiri, Central Java.

She and her husband Syamsir admit that they have a special strategy, namely picking up the ball by offering a number of t-shirt designs, calendars, wall clocks, umbrellas, flags and so on to party sympathizers, companies and the party's success team.

"The design from us is free. We make an example, submit it with a special price offer, usually they will consider it," admits Justina.
