Susy said that Gambo Muba is a typical jumputan method, dyed with natural dye from gambir sap, which was initially considered waste and thrown away. Now the synergy between the Muba Regency Government with TP PKK and Dekranasda is able to encourage gambier craftsmen by turning waste into the main fabric dye. As an Eco fashion product, Gambo Muba uses 100 percent anti-chemical natural dyes.
"This also answers the international issue that more than 50 percent of chemical waste comes from textile waste. Gambo Muba is an alternative action and Muba's contribution to the textile world, this product does not produce chemical waste but utilizes natural waste gambir sap for Gambo Muba dye," he explained.
Meanwhile, Gambo Muba Designer from Dekranasda Muba, Dovi Rustam said that in the series of Kriya Sriwijaya Fashion Festival his party displayed a number of fashion products created by Gambo Muba.
"Alhamdulillah, we can perform optimally, hopefully we can introduce Gambo Muba in South Sumatra, especially for fashion lovers," he said.
The Chairperson of the South Sumatra Province PKK TP, Hj Febrita Lustia Herman Deru appreciated the innovative works of the Regency/City in South Sumatra, especially Gambo Muba's eco fashion products.
