The Association of Indonesian Batik Craftsmen and Entrepreneurs (APPBI) encourages the West Nusa Tenggara Provincial Government to promote Sasambo Batik (Sasak, Samawa, Mbojo) through regulations. "Support from the government, must provide regulations. So for example, batik in the area must be used by ASN," said the General Chairperson of the Association of Indonesian Batik Craftsmen and Entrepreneurs H Komarudin Kudiya, Bandung City, last Saturday (26/3/2022). He said the government had to make batik products through Pergub, Perbup OR Perwal.

“State Civil Apparatuses (ASN) are required to use batik. If it is used in Bandung, with special regulations in the form of a Perwal (mayor regulation, ed) and it is still being used today," he said.

Komarudin reminded that the policy of using batik must be truly batik. Not batik-patterned textiles.

"If you have batik-patterned textiles, then puntens (sorry, red) are not batik," he said
