Textile and garment issuer PT Trisula Textile Industries Tbk. (BELL) stated that it was still producing cloth shopping bags for internal use. R Nurwulan Kusumawati, Director of BELL explained that the use of this cloth bag was used as a form of reusable goodie bag. "BELL has produced shopping bags from leftover fabrics or semi-finished fabrics for the manufacture of goodie bags for internal use. These goodie bags are reusable. So BELL can participate in supporting the sustainability program," he said, last Friday (8/4). With production used internally, BELL has yet to mass produce cloth bags for sale.

Nurwulan continued, currently the use of cloth shopping bags, according to BELL, has begun to be widely used by starting to reduce the use of plastic bags.

This is a concern and consideration for BELL in product development. BELL explained that throughout 2021 the contribution of BELL sales was dominated by cloth sales with a contribution of 44%. The rest was contributed from uniform sales with a contribution of 36% and retail 20%.

As for BELL's retail products in 2021, namely JOBB and Jack Nicklaus products, they managed to increase retail sales to Rp84.5 billion, up 12.1% YoY compared to the previous year.

"So indeed, at this time we have not mass-produced cloth bags for sale, but for internal use," he said

For information, BELL managed to increase retail sales to Rp 84.5 billion, up 12.1% on an annual basis or year on year (yoy) compared to the previous year of Rp 75.3 billion. Meanwhile, BELL's total sales stood at Rp 428.2 billion, or a correction of 20.46% from Rp 538.2 billion on an annual basis.

Even though it was corrected from the previous period, BELL had an operating profit growth of 106.3% from IDR 10.7 billion in 2020 to IDR 22.18 billion in 2021. According to Nurwulan, this growth in operating profit was due to various efficiencies carried out by BELL throughout 2021. .

BELL was also recorded as being able to reverse a loss of Rp. 15.5 billion the previous year to a profit of Rp. 2.28 billion
