The management of the Bogor Indonesian Garment Workers Organization (OPGI) DPD for the period of 2021-2024 was officially inaugurated by the OPGI DPP at M-One Hotel, Saturday (10/4/2021).

OPGI Bogor stated that it is ready to collaborate with stakeholders or stakeholders with related parties in carrying out its program.

"We are very happy, of course after this we compile a program. In the near future, training for prospective workers will be held, "said the Chairman of the Bogor DPD OPGI Aries Sunan.

He ensured that all of his programs were in an effort to reduce the number of unemployed, especially in Bogor, both Bogor City and Bogor Regency.

"Our target is unemployment so we can work, especially during the current Covid-19 pandemic where many people are experiencing difficulties," explained Aries Sunan.

The Chairperson of the DPP OPGI Stenly Ngelo hopes that OPGI Bogor, in addition to collaborating with stakeholders, can also create programs that have a real impact on the community.

"The outcome is to improve the welfare of the underprivileged, reduce unemployment. In West Java, approximately 2.5 million people are unemployed, including those in Bogor, ”he explained.

Because he said, OPGI has a vision to make an organization with competent, trained members who are ready to compete in the world of industrial work and the business world with one of its missions is to provide education and training for prospective industrial workers and entrepreneurs based on standards. "The training (training education) has been running and is in the process of a certification institution," he explained.

Meanwhile, the Department of Manpower and Transmigration (Disnakertrans) of West Java Province also hopes that OPGI can welcome the global market and can create superior human resources according to the needs of the garment and textile industry.

"Do not let the management have been formed but 'Tuk Cing' (sit cicing / only name), work is not visible but the results are real," said Head of the Section for Supervision of Occupational Safety and Health, Yanu Krisdiyan representing the West Java Kadisnakertrans, Rahmat Taufik Garsadi.

While at the event, the Bekasi District OPGI was also inaugurated. Chairman of the Committee Andie Mahputra Gunawan expressed his gratitude that the event went quite well and will be an evaluation in the next implementation.

The same thing was said by the Chairperson of the OPGI Protecting Council, Brigadier General S.H.Setya Budhi, that OPGI's goal of making the people prosperous must have the support of all parties.
