A textile trader at Sukaramai Trade Center (STC) Pekanbaru, Fauzan, complained that his cloth sales turnover had decreased drastically. In fact, his hopes to reap more profits in the atmosphere of this Christmas and New Year's Holidays did not come to fruition. "In fact, usually on holidays such as Christmas and New Year's like this, it's definitely crowded. Our sales from the usual reach 80 percent, now at most it's only 40 percent," said Fauzan, Saturday, December 25, 2021. In addition, Fauzan said that the interest of visitors to buy cloth materials was also decreasing. Because people prefer to buy clothes online.

Plus, the pandemic situation has made people not spend much time outside their homes.

“Nowadays people prefer to buy ready-made clothes. Because online marketing is more affordable and practical," he concluded.

"Because people's shopping trends have changed, so now we are opening an online store. We just want to survive as much as possible," added Fauzan.

Meanwhile, a visitor at Sukaramai Trade Center (STC) Pekanbaru, Risma admitted that she prefers to tinker with online shop applications rather than visiting shopping centers.

"I prefer to shop online. Buying this fabric is a hassle, right. The sewing fee is longer, so it costs more," he said.

Risma added, especially now that community activities are also being reduced, coupled with the existence of various rules for entering shopping centers.

"The atmosphere is still Covid-19, our activities are reduced, so people are lazy to leave the house. The solution is shopping online," he concluded.
