Who doesn't like having active toddlers? Moving to and fro, actively chattering as if energy never runs out. Even so, the activity of the little one can create their own drama, such as dressing the child's clothes which is more time consuming. Based on the experience of parents, Kalale, a local brand of children's clothing, saw an opportunity to generate income. The brand launched a collection of children's clothes with magnetic buttons. The collection was created after discussing with many parents, especially those who have just had their first child.
"I thought at first I was the only one who had trouble dressing my children, but after talking to other new parents, I realized that they also feel the same way," said Febrina Oktaviani, one of the owners of Kalale, Monday (14/14). /2/2022).
Magnetic buttons are considered a practical solution to overcome these problems. However, the process can take up to six months. The challenge is in choosing the right magnet. His team also had to make four prototypes of clothes before finally deciding which prototype 5 was the most suitable.
"Initially it was difficult to find a magnet that was specifically for textiles and safe for babies. Finally, we found a factory that could produce special magnets for textiles and was also safe to wash using a washing machine," he added.
The baby and children's clothes were successfully launched a month ago. In the first stage, Kalale launched a collection of magnetic pajamas that it claims can be buttoned in a second.
"Since it was launched in the first week, this magnetic pajama product has immediately sold out and has sold hundreds of pieces," continued Febrina, mentioning that the production process for the magnetic buttoned pajama took longer than ordinary clothes.
Febrina also shared other tips when buying baby and children's clothes. Especially for baby clothes, he reminded them to buy clothes made from natural materials, such as cotton, bamboo, and the like.
"Because baby's skin is very sensitive, avoid using baby clothes made of synthetic materials such as polyester," he said.
"In addition, also choose clothes that are easy to take off and put on because this is very helpful when you have to change diapers," he added.
Baby clothes also need to be cared for to keep them durable. One of the easiest is to wash manually alias by hand. That way, even though the life of the clothes is relatively short, they can still be donated to other babies in need.
Another tip when buying baby clothes is to buy a larger size. Quoted from the Smart Parents page, instead of buying baby clothes for ages 0-3 months for newborns, parents are advised to buy clothes for babies aged 3--6 months.
That way, you can extend its use. Even if it looks oversized, you can always roll it up to make it more comfortable to use.
Another thing that can be applied to reduce the cost of baby clothes is to refrain from buying in large quantities. Remember that children will grow rapidly in a few months.
Instead of spending money to buy a lot that ends up not being used, you are better off allocating your budget to buy clothes that are in moderation and in larger sizes. It's even better if you look for discount clothing so you can save more.
