PT Klinko Karya Imaji Tbk (KLIN) targets to be able to process 100 tons of textile waste by 2023. Meanwhile, it is currently expected to continue to increase every year. The textile waste used by KLIN comes from pre-consumed waste or garment waste from convection in the form of patchwork scraps left over from production. Currently, KLIN is capable of processing an average of 8 tons of textile waste per month. "We hope KLIN can help reduce textile waste in Indonesia. Therefore, we continue to be committed to increasing the volume of textile waste recycling by increasing collaboration with textile waste producing factories," said PT Klinko Karya Imaji Tbk (KLIN) Main Director Anggun Satriya Supanji in his statement, Sunday (25/6/ 2023).
Anggun added, KLIN is a pioneer in manufacturing recycled cleaning equipment in Indonesia that utilizes up to 90% recycled yarn for all of its product materials. Klinko's cleaning products use recycled textile waste materials as the main element which has high absorbency, thus speeding up and facilitating house cleaning activities.
"We believe the quality of our products will be able to penetrate the international market, especially with the increasing awareness of the world community for eco-friendly products," said Anggun.
Currently, the global community is more interested in using green products in line with the increasing awareness of the importance of protecting the environment and global climate change. In a study entitled The Sustainability Imperative conducted by Nielsen in 2015 to 30,000 consumers in 60 countries, 66% of respondents were willing to pay more to buy sustainable or green products.
"Based on this, KLIN is optimistic that our products will be in demand by the global market and can continue to expand our export reach," concluded Anggun.
