Judged as negligent in implementing health protocols, the manager of textile factory A, located in Cikampek District, was summoned by the Karawang Covid-19 Handling Acceleration Task Force, Tuesday 6 July 2021. The factory manager was immediately given the first warning letter.

If until the third warning, the factory continues to make the same mistake, the Task Force team is ready to charge him with criminal law using Law no. 4 of 1984 concerning Infectious Disease Outbreaks and Law no. 6/2018 on Health Quarantine.

"However, such sanctions will only be imposed if the factory persists in not implementing the procedures," said the head of the Karawang Covid-19 Task Force who is also the local regent, Cellica Nurrachadiana, at the Kodim 0604 Karawang Headquarters.

According to Cellica, the summons to the manager of factory A is a follow-up to the results of a sudden inspection (Sidak) conducted by the Task Force, Monday night July 5, 2021.

At that time, the Task Force found a violation in which the factory did not form a Task Force team in its company.

Another mistake, continued Cellica, was that the company did not report to the Covid-19 Task Force in the Cikampek District when dozens of its employees were exposed to the corona virus.

"From our search results, we found 53 employees of factory A, who were positive for Covid-19, but they did not report it so that the Task Force had difficulty tracing," he said.

Such conditions are considered very dangerous to society. Because the corona virus from the factory employees can infect hundreds of other residents.

Moreover, continued Cellica, at this time in Karawang, the Delta variant of Covid-19 was found, which spread very quickly. In addition, the largest spread of the corona virus in Karawang came from industrial clusters.

In the same place, Karawang Resort Police Chief, Adjunct Senior Commissioner Rama Samtama Putra said, his party had several legal constructions to take action against factory managers who did not have good intentions in fighting the Covid-19 pandemic.

"If the warnings are not heeded, they can be criminally charged," said Rama.
