As a textile expert printer, AK-Textile Solo accepts new students. By introducing campus life, students will adapt to a new environment. AK-Textile Solo is a textile education under the Ministry of Industry.

The Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) AK-Textile Solo 2021 carries the theme of Tough HR, Mentally Strong and Ready to Work.

PKKMB Student Executive Chair Annisa Zahrani Sofwan said new students must become mature and independent individuals and be able to adapt to the environment with all its changes.

“AK-Textile Solo is still conducting online lectures. This change in learning activities needs to be adapted by students, especially with the new environment. Students must also have a good attitude and role model,” said Annisa.

He also reported that 180 people who took part in the PKKMB from various regions in Indonesia. They are divided into 3 study programs namely Yarn Making Techniques, Woven Fabric Making Techniques and Garment Making Techniques.

"This activity consists of several series of activities such as virtual campus tours, talk shows from textile industry players and about mental health, and introduction of units, SMEs, and organizations on campus," he said.

The Chief Executive of the PPKMB Lecturer Yunus Nazar said that Solo AK-Textile students must complete 80 credits in 4 semesters with a block system.

“Because vocational schools are industry-based, students will carry out one semester of education divided into one month of theory, one and a half months of practice on campus and one and a half months of practice in industry. This is our effort to produce graduates who can answer the challenges of the textile industry in the future,” said Yunus.

He also hopes that new students of AK-Textile Solo can play an active role and support the progress of the Indonesian textile industry.

"We are optimistic that AK-Textile Solo is able to produce competent human resources in accordance with the needs of the textile and textile product industry," he hoped.
