The Ministry of Industry enlivened the Indonesian Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai by exhibiting the Making Indonesia 4.0 roadmap which was launched by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo on April 4, 2018 in front of the world. This roadmap is an initiative to accelerate industrial development so that Indonesia is ready to enter the industrial era 4.0 which focuses on seven industrial sectors, including; food and beverage, textile and clothing, automotive, chemical, electronics, pharmaceutical and medical devices.

 "In the fourth week of the Expo 2020 event, the Indonesian Pavilion will showcase the development process from the application of industry 4.0, the halal industry to the nation's creative economy in front of the world. Through the Expo, Indonesia can showcase various potentials in the form of superior national products and projects for a better future for the world. This is an extraordinary opportunity for Indonesia to establish trade cooperation and attract investment,” said Commissioner General of the Indonesian Pavilion, Didi Sumedi.

In the Making Indonesia 4.0 roadmap, there are a number of national initiatives that will be socialized at the Expo 2020 Dubai event. The Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) will also showcase the potential for strategic investment as well as the development and potential of the halal industry through a series of business forum events that discuss increasing the global value chain in Indonesia's involvement in the halal industry, financing the halal industry and logistics in Indonesia, to recognition of labeling, certification, and halal standards and promotion of halal-certified MSME products ready for export at rolling exhibitions.

"This opportunity to present the Making Indonesia 4.0 roadmap and the Industrial Estate as a strategic investment place is also a medium to show Indonesia's readiness to accept foreign investment, including the halal industry. With the implementation of business forums and rolling exhibitions that contain various information about Indonesia's involvement in the halal industry, it has the potential to attract more investment and export opportunities for Indonesian halal products," said Industry Minister Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita.

West Java Wastra Designers Colored the Indonesian Pavilion

The West Java Provincial Government also enlivened the Indonesian Pavilion by exhibiting local products in the form of weaving, batik and embroidery. Some of the various fabrics displayed such as the Majalaya Weaving are woven manually and categorized as Non-Machine Weaving Equipment (ATBM).

This weaving has aesthetics and selling points that can compete in the modern era and can evolve into fashion products with current trends. These various weavings are then designed ranging from Muslim dresses to casual clothes that can be worn

worn for women and men. The designers who played a major role in designing West Java literature were Rya Baraba, Decky Sastra, Inez Katanhuri, Harry Ibrahim and Deden Siswanto. The designs of some of these designers had waddled on the international fashion stage such as Paris to New York Fashion Week.

“These various fashion industry products are one of West Java's superior handicraft products and have high economic value and are internationally competitive. As we know, West Java has wastra (fabric) which has been worldwide. All of these fashion products are the work of the nation's children in the creative economy that should be proud of in the eyes of the world. Even some of the designers have exhibited their designs at international fashion shows," said Mochamad Ridwan Kamil, S.T., M.U.D, Governor of West Java.
