The Indonesia Sharia Economic Festival (ISEF) 2021 presents a design competition aimed at attracting young talents in realizing sustainable Muslim fashion. Quoting his statement on Sunday, ISEF in collaboration with the Indonesian Fashion Chamber and the Indonesia Halal Lifestyle Center (IHLC), presented the Modest Young Designer Competition (MYDC) which was also aimed at making the national Muslim fashion sector more colorful. It is also hoped that this competition can motivate the younger generation to improve the competence of Indonesian Muslim clothing so that they have high competitiveness in national and global markets.

To take part in this competition, participants submitted Muslim ready-to-wear design sketches that apply the concept of sustainable fashion by exploring the richness of local content and applying trends in colors, motifs, and textile materials.

 The criteria for evaluating this competition are based on creativity, originality, usability, tidiness, accuracy of material selection, marketability, and readiness from a business perspective.

 "It is hoped that this competition can produce new designers, new generations, to color and develop the potential of the Indonesian Muslim fashion industry in a sustainable manner," said the Chairman of the Jury and Advisory Board of the Indonesian Fashion Chamber/IFC as well as the MYDC 2021 jury, Taruna K. The 13 finalists for MYDC 2021 were selected, namely Leli Al Idrus, Nur Faridatus, Galuh Agnes, Andika Kurniawan, Zukhaila Noor Failasufa, Rohanita, Maame K. Bankah, Bagaskara Panuluh, Andrean Nur, Lutfiaz Tri Annisa, Taufik Hidayat, Yulia Rostiani, and Fista Wulan. .

This series of fashion exhibitions was held at the JCC Assembly Hall with the Fashion Parade concept, and at the JCC Lower Lobby with the Fashion Presentation concept by Indonesian fashion designers and members of the Indonesian Sharia Creative Industry (IKRA) in the fashion and accessories sector with the theme "New Normal is Sustainable Fashion". .

A total of 339 business actors in the Indonesian Muslim fashion sector had the opportunity to market their products in the Exhibition & Indonesia Halal Showcase which was held offline at the JCC Assembly Hall and virtually through www.isef.co.id until December 2021.

This time the Diaspora Talk raised the theme "Style and Behavior Since Pandemic" by presenting Deputy Director of Sharia Economics and Finance Anna Setyawati; and speakers such as the National Chairman of the Indonesian Fashion Chamber Ali Charisma; President of the Indonesian Diaspora Business Council Fify Manan; Ambassador of LBBPRI to China and Mongolia H.E Djauhari Oratmangun, and others.
