The creativity of the people of Aceh in designing fashion products cannot be underestimated. The quality is no less good than brands from countries that are often the mecca of fashion. Moreover, the local modest wear fashion industry is growing rapidly from year to year. No longer monotonous and looks stiff, now there are more and more Muslim fashion brands that offer a variety of more varied fashion models. One of them is a local fashion brand from Aceh Florimia which has been present since 2012 with the style of urban modest wear.

Florimia is a business that was started by Nelva Amelia. This woman from Banda Aceh shares her inspirational story of how she started a business that she has been involved in since 2012.

In starting his business, Nelva did all the production processes alone, and the difficulty in turning capital from the turnover that was obtained at that time was not significant.

Then finally he ventured to establish his own brand that sells various Muslim fashion products on social media and e-commerce platforms.

"Initially, during college in 2012, I started trying to sew clothes and upload photos on social media, then it turned out that someone liked it and ordered it, so I started from there," said Nelva.

When there were many orders, Nelva recruited tailors to produce clothes of their own design. Now, fans of Florimia's Muslim fashion products do not only come from the domestic market, but have penetrated into neighboring countries such as Malaysia, Brunei, Singapore and Taiwan.

However, the most routine delivery of clothes from the Florimia brand is to Malaysia. "The most routine is to go to Malaysia, there are fans there. If you go to Taiwan, you usually order workers from Indonesia there," he said.

So far Nelva is still having trouble stocking up on the fabrics used. Because, at this time it still depends on the availability of fabric materials in textile shops in Banda Aceh.

He will also cooperate with textile factories for the availability of materials, so that they do not depend on the availability of fabrics only from cloth shops in Banda Aceh.

"Often, it's just the ingredients. For example, for this motif, which orders 300 clothes, it turns out that the ingredients in the shop here are only enough for 100 clothes, the problem is often there, "he said.

So far, Florimia has issued at least 3 designs of Muslim clothing in a month. For marketing, it is only online on Florimia's Instagram account and E-commerce is ready and pre-ordered, so the size can also be determined by the buyer before being produced. He also targets that by 2022 he will open an offline store in Banda Aceh.
