Before there were factories in Bawen, Semarang Regency, Semarang City, and Demak. He said that he is still in the process of constructing a building which occupies an area of 9 hectares.

"We are engaged in the production of apparel for export to the United States. Our plan is to build three buildings. Later, for the first phase of a building, it will require a workforce of 1,000 people. "The need for labor is prioritized in the surrounding environment," he said, accompanied by the Manager of Export-Import of PT Glory Industrial Semarang, Budi Aji.

Masduri said that the Sragen garment factory will open its first vacancies in September-October 2021. PT Glory Industrial is a labor-intensive industry.

Regarding the decision to invest in Sragen, Masduri said that he had gone through several considerations, such as the district minimum wage (UMK) which is still competitive. Then also access roads that are close to toll lanes (toll exit Connections Macan).

In addition, Masduri sees that there are not many labor-intensive industries in Ngrampal. "Licensing has been issued and some are being processed at DPUPR [Public Works and Spatial Planning Office] and Sragen Regency Government. We have met the Regent and he has given the green light, ”he said.

Budi Aji added that the garment factory in Sragen's capacity can produce 50-100 containers a month for apparel. He explained that this factory was only engaged in making finished clothes so that there was no production of yarn and so on.

Separately, the Head of Ngrampal Sub-district, Joko Hendang Murdono, added that the procurement of the factory land had been carried out since 2019 and is now starting to build the factory building.

Joko said residents in Ngrampal, especially in the Bener Village area, can accept the existence of the garment factory investment because the existence of the industry will be able to increase regional economic growth and community welfare.

"We heard that the absorption of employees could be 2,500-3,000 gradually. From the investor's side, it has also been disseminated to the public. In terms of regional spatial planning, this location is an industrial area so that it is possible to build a factory. The licensing process has also begun, "he said.
